Abstract
Yemen is a country of about 30 million people. It occupies the southwestern tip of the Arabian Peninsula and borders Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the shipping lanes of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Yemen has been at war since early 2015 when the Huthi rebels and their allies attempted to take over the country, and a Saudi-led military intervention tried and failed to displace them from the capital, Sanaa.
