Ulrich is a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University and the International Crisis Group. His research interests include political economics and economic development, with focus on the implications of climate change, institutions and ethnic diversity for civil conflict. He was previously based at the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Lausanne, a M.Sc. in Economic Policy from the University College London and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Zurich.
