Bio/Description
Thomas Scherer is currently Deputy Director at the Center for Peace and Security Studies at UCSD. He was previously a Program Officer with the United States Institute for Peace. His dissertation was on the strategic interactions of peacekeeping and the motives of rebel and government actors. He has worked as a research assistant for Peter Katzenstein, Jacob Shapiro, and at the Mario Einaudi Center for International Relations. M.A. International Relations, Formal and Quantitative Methods, Princeton University. B.A. Government, Chemistry, with concentrations in International Relations, Latin American Studies.
