Bio/Description
Seiki Tanaka was an ESOC research fellow at Princeton University in 2011-2012 and is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen. His research interests include electoral politics, the politics of state revenue production, the role of foreign aid in developing countries, and alliance formation. His dissertation focuses on resource management under autocracies and examines the conditions under which autocrats employ resources to hold competitive elections. He has served as a research associate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Tokyo, Japan.
