Christoph was a Visiting Scholar with ESOC for Fall Semester 2019. His research focuses on intra-state conflict, with a particular emphasis on civil-military relations, counterinsurgency, and military effectiveness. He takes a special interest in quantitative methods, and has been teaching a postgraduate seminar on advanced statistics since my first year of PhD. In 2019, he received the Essex Excellence in Education teaching award.
