BFRS codes a broad range of information on 28,731 incidents of political violence from January 1, 1988 through May 2011. For each incident we record the location, consequences, cause, type of violence, and party responsible as specifically as possible.
Abstract:

The BFRS Dataset contains incident-level data on political violence in Pakistan from January 1988 to December 2010 based on press reporting. The downloadable file contains the codebook, some health warnings for data users, the main data file coded from the Lahore edition of the Dawn, and a reliability sample coded from the Karachi edition of the Dawn. An article addressing the dataset's design, collection, and utility can be found here.
