Anoop Sarbahi is currently a visiting scholar in the Department of Political Science at Stanford University. Prior to his current position, he has held pre- and post-doctoral positions at Harvard University, Stanford University and UCLA. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in December, 2011. His research interests include ethnicity, civil wars, counter insurgency, post-conflict transition and state rebuilding and political economy of inter-group and inter-regional disparities. His expertise is in geospatial analysis involving satellite imagery and geographical information systems. He also holds an M.Phil. in Planning and Development from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
